Greetings,

CRITICAL UPDATE: Our method of using IP forwarding to mitigate DNS delays fell apart yesterday and its no longer providing for any type of reliable service. The IP forwarding is either failing to connect or often connecting to the wrong IP address. We are having to halt its use and that means everyone will have to update their DNS records with the new IP address assigned to your service. We apologize for this inconvienice, we are not sure what may have changed to cause this as we've used it for years without issue including migrating 1000+ websites in the past month prior to this happening.

We apologize for the short notice but due to a change in control of our colocation contract, we are being forced to change data centers after twenty years at the location. The main problem is our network service was not included in this transfer, and is being terminated at the end of the month . That is why this is such short notice and we deeply regret all inconveniences caused by this. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to be given enough time before our network service was terminated to switch to a new provider. We have already moved about half our customers over, but we are reaching the point where we have to start moving the servers that have too much data to transfer over the network. This includes all of our shared hosting customers and our larger virtual server customers.

The migration process will be as follows. We will power down and moving the server(s) to the new location. We expect this to take about 3 hours and once its at the new data center we will be bringing it back online and reconfiguring everyone with the new IP addresses and RDNS settings. We will also be forwarding the current IPs over to the new ones so that they'll continue to operate during the DNS changes. This will also give everyone who uses external DNS hosting some time to update their records.  If you find your website services no longer working properly and are using external DNS hosting, such as with Cloudflare, please log into your cPanel account or server using alternate URLs and get your current IP address(es) and update them accordingly. Or you can contact us and we'll help you get that information as well.

We will be migrating the shared server cp3 starting tonight (January 22nd) at 11PM CST and cp4 on Saturday night and we'll go from there. We also are experiencing severe weather taking place in the region - like tonight it will be getting to -12F (-23C) and this can impact our schedule as well.

Please follow this announcement for updates. Thank you in advance your patience and understanding while we go through these changes in our service.
