Please be aware that on September 1st, the registration / renewal / transfer rates for the .COM TLD (top level domain) will increase by 7% again ($0.58/year) due to the contract Verisign signed with ICANN and the US government for running the .COM TLD (top level domain) service at the start of 2020. In response to this annual rate hike, we need to again raise our .COM registration fees to $12.49/year. We will be raising this rate for all renewals on September 1st. Please also note that the contract allows Verisign to increase .COM registration rates by 7% a year in 8 of its 10 years. Therefore, you can expect .COM registration rates to increase at this time every year (except for 2024 and 2025). You therefore may want to extend your domain up to the max time (10 years) to lock in the maximum savings.
In addition, the following TLDs will also be raising their rates on September 1st as well:
.co - $2.00/year
.biz - $0.87/year
There are other TLDs going up in rates, but none that people have registered through us.
Feel free to contact us via our support desk if you have any questions about these price hike for .COM and other TLDs and we'll be happy to assist you.
